Earwax Removal

Are your ears feeling clogged or itchy? Have you been having more trouble hearing or are your ears ringing? Your problem may just be excessive earwax. Another word for earwax is cerumen. It is normal to develop cerumen in small amounts. It can help to prevent dust and other fine particles from getting deeper into the ear canal and it can act as a natural moisturizer. However, earwax can become an issue if it becomes occluded or gets pushed deep into the ear canal. Ear candling has been proven ineffective and using Q-tips can cause damage. We can safely and effectively remove earwax in-office through use of curette and/or irrigation.
